Amy Morley started professional journey as a Trainee Legal Advisor at Rand Water in July 2021 within the Rand Water Group Legal Services department. Throughout this period she provided legal advisory services to business units safeguarding the organization's interests, drafted a variety of legal documents ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, interpreted legislation and advised on legislative impacts, managed litigation processes to ensure that business’ interests are optimally protected, conducted legal research and reviewed policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation to continually ensure good governance.

 

Her role also expanded towards contract management and encompassed contract lifecycle management, where she not only focused on administrative aspects but also implemented strategic measures to mitigate contractual risks.

 

She pursued short courses such as Contract Management and Construction Contracts through the University of Pretoria and Compliance Essentials as well as Compliance Management through the University of Cape Town, displaying a commitment to continuous development and diversifying her skill set.

 

She joined MHI as a Candidate Legal Practitioner in January 2025 to broaden her experience and diversify her legal skill set. She is passionate about advancing her legal career and strives to contribute to the field in a more dynamic and impactful capacity.
